Some diners note the background beeping sounds from kitchen operations, but this no-nonsense backdrop only emphasizes the restaurant’s focus on delivering substantive, flavorful Moroccan fare.
Regular patrons, like Arben G, return time and again for the flawless execution of dishes like the Chicken Couscous, praising its precise blend of textures and flavors that keep cravings alive. Meanwhile, first-time visitors such as River Nomadic have been blown away by the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of the lamb tagine and the attentive, friendly service that makes the dining experience smooth and welcoming. Even with mixed feedback on dishes like the Seafood Bastilla, the consensus is clear: Aicha Moroccan Cuisine is a standout destination for those seeking authentic Moroccan and North African dishes in San Francisco.
Whether you are looking to indulge in a hearty, spice-infused tagine or to explore the depth of couscous preparations accompanied by refreshing lemonata or sparkling water, Aicha invites you to savor the rich, soulful flavors of Morocco in an inviting, unpretentious setting. For an authentic taste adventure that captures the essence of Moroccan culinary traditions, this Polk Street gem delivers with warmth, generosity, and genuine passion.
Ive gone here multiple times, sometimes solo and sometimes with friends; this place never misses the mark. every dish ive tried here has been amazing. The chicken couscous keeps me coming back.
We had a delicious lamb kebab and vegetarian tagine. The food is excellent but it’s not a place for a romantic first date. You go for the food not ambiance. There is a lot of noise… every time a person enters the restaurant a beep is triggered. From the kitchen area is a constant beeping noise from, I think, online orders. But noise aside, the food is great!
Fantastic Moroccan food with many wonderful vegetarian options. We got the vegetarian tagine and the vegetarian couscous with the Moroccan mint tea. Everything was delicious and it was a great spot for date night.
Seafood Bastille is average. Way too much oil in the fry. Very little seafood. Chicken Tagine is excellent as is the bread with it. Slightly higher salt. Mint tea came with sugar but was replaced without when requested. tasted good without the sugar. Nice little spot. Good decor. Friendly and efficient service.
Wow, what an amazing meal! We ordered artichoke salad, lamb tagine, saffron rice, mint tea and sparkling water. Everything was just amazing. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth good. Just slipped right off the bone. Service was excellent here, so attentive and friendly. If I lived in the city I would come here all the time. We were craving lamb and we are so glad that we found this spot. Authentic, delicious, what a treat!
We were in town to visit. My family was in the mood for Moroccan cuisine. Specifically looking for bastilla. We walked in and were seated. We ordered a chicken bastilla and a veggie bastilla to start. For the meal we got a chicken tagine,a lamb kebab, and a veggie couscous. The bastilla was nicely seasoned ,I really liked the sweet and savory taste. It has a dusting of powder sugar and cinnamon on top.The chicken tagine was fall off the bone tender. The couscous portion was big enough for 2 people. The kabob was ok. It could have used more salt. My only negative was the bastilla, I'm pretty sure that they microwaved it to heat it up and finished it up in the broiler.(I understand as I worked in a restaurant. Sometimes to save time you pre make items. I just wanted it to be warmed longer and kept under the broiler longer. Mine was a little cold in spots)
Best experience I had in all of the Restaurants I been in SF! Staff are so friendly and the food is soooo goood!! I ordered through doordash one time late at night and forgot to add soda in my order. I told the staff, since I'm omw to pick it up my order I will just pay soda in person, but they decided to give the soda for Free instead!!!!! They also added a home made bread as welll!!! It was sooo goood too!!! Hands down the BEST Moroccan Cuisine in town coupled with the BEST and friendliest Staffs I've ever seen!! 2 thumbs up!!! Well deserved 5 star!!
